Cornwall Film Festival will be premiering the “hottest new British film release”, Summer In February at The Savoy Cinema, Penzance on 3rd June and The Poly, Falmouth on 4th June. Metrodome Distribution will stage the adaptation of Jonathan Smith’s 1995 acclaimed novel in Cornwall 11 days before it is set to release in the UK on 14th June. Based on a true story of love and loss among a bohemian colony of artists set in Cornwall before the First World War. With backdrops of Lamorna and Prussia Cove, Cornwall is the perfect place to premier Summer in February. Festival director, Tiffany Holmes said: “Cornwall provides the perfect filming location with its stunning landscape and coastline, its rich history and culture and the wealth of talent on offer here to support productions.” It’s directed by Christopher Menaul and starring Downton Abbey’s heartthrob Dan Stevens, Dominic Cooper (Captain America: The First Avenger) and Emily Browning (Sucker Punch).
